Experience and qualifications
I have been offering psychotherapy and counselling over the past twelve and a half years. My clients have various backgrounds, reflecting the multicultural population mix in London.
In addition to my Ealing private practice, I worked as a psychosexual counsellor for individual and couple clients at King’s College Hospital in southeast London. I recently completed the three-year contract with the Trust. I received a lovely reference from the
specialist registrar who heads the clinic. The variety of the clients’ background again mirrored the diversity of the local population in terms with cultures, ethnicities, gender identities, nationalities, religions and sexual orientations.
I once worked at a private group practice in the City, offering sessions to individual and couple clients. Before all these I worked at various counselling charities in London and in Scotland. During my initial training I also shadowed a consultant psychiatrist in charge of a closed ward in an NHS hospital in west London.
Here is a summary of my main qualifications;
UKCP allows full registration only to practitioners who are trained and experienced in psychotherapeutic disciplines to Masters level. I maintain UKCP registration through multiple memberships with HIPC (Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy College) and CSRP (College for Sexual and Relationship Psychotherapy).
I regularly attend workshops and conferences to keep myself up-to-date with the expertise knowledge. I am also a member of a small peer group and we meet regularly for mutual support, self-reflection and further education. I am committed to CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
