Experience and qualifications
I have been offering psychotherapy and counselling since 2004. My clients have various backgrounds, reflecting the multicultural population mix in London.
In addition to my Ealing private practice, I work as a psychosexual therapist for individual and couple clients at King’s College Hospital in southeast London. The variety of the clients’ background at this clinic again mirrors the diversity of the local population in terms with cultures, ethnicities, gender identities, nationalities, religions and sexual orientations.
I once worked at a private group practice in the City, offering sessions to individual and couple clients. Before all these I worked at various counselling charities in London and in Scotland. During my initial training I also shadowed a consultant psychiatrist in charge of a closed ward in an NHS hospital in west London.
Here is a summary of my main qualifications;
UKCP allows full registration only to practitioners who are trained and experienced in psychotherapeutic disciplines to Masters level. I maintain UKCP registration through multiple memberships with HIPC (Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy College) and CSRP (College for Sexual and Relationship Psychotherapy).
I regularly attend workshops and conferences to keep myself up-to-date with the expertise knowledge. I have taken a year off from a small peer group in order to do a small research project for another Masters degree. I am committed to CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
